A fourth-generation Los Angelino, Sam Plotkin attended CEE (Center for Early Education) and Harvard-Westlake School, then graduated Bowdoin College before returning to his hometown to pursue his career.
His record of accomplishments includes positions at such companies as The William Morris Agency and Citigroup/Smith Barney. At William Morris, Sam managed the processing of incoming offers and review of contracts, and increased the efficiency and protocol for the distribution of legal and official correspondence for some of the world’s top artists, managers, and promoters in the music industry. As a registered assistant with Smith Barney, Sam developed highly systematized business and marketing plans to serve current clients, and consistently generated new business by coordinating monthly retirement planning workshops for small groups (20-30) of prospective clients.
In his capacity as Director of McMiller Enterprises, Sam and his partners served first-time homebuyers by developing affordable, single-family homes in Nacogdoches, TX.
As a Real Estate Salesperson (CA), Sam joined the prestigious Beverly Hills North office of Coldwell Banker, as a team member of Christophe Choo, a top-ranking and well-respected broker for over 25 years.
Most recently, Sam was a founding member of ResComm Capital Partners LLC, established to identify investment capital and pursue private placements, primarily in real estate acquisition and development.
Sam also continues a multi-generational legacy of philanthropy on both sides of his family, with firm roots in: Stephen Wise Temple; The Weitzman Institute; and The Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles, where Sam has been the Co-Chair for the Federation’s Young Leadership Division (YLD) “Outreach and Engagement” Committee since 2009. He has also served as past President to Upward Bound House’s (transitional housing for homeless families with minor children) Young Professionals Group.
